Let me bare your chest

Let me slice through your heart

Let me rip you apart


Show me what’s in there

That’s makes me lose myself

Mia Needs To Vent...


Okay so I"m back... Needed to vent maybe, this place has always been comforting.
So a few days back someone I liked, respected, maybe even loved cut me down real bad. I'll recover but I lost all respect for that person. Here's the answer to what you accused me of.... 

I've been accused of being contradictory,
Of being confused about my own identity.
I ask you, critic of my soul,
Does the bubbling water boil itself?
Does the branch sway of it’s own accord?
Is life supposed to be static?
The Earth unmoving in its orbit?
The answer hides in obvious sight.
Compassion makes me believe.
Naivety makes me second-guess.
Hope keeps the optimism lighted.
Despair brings out the pessimism.
I may be unsure in what I do
But I still remain the pursuer of truth.
I’m half done yet.
Not yet complete.
Please reserve you judgment
Till I’m ready.

Persian Poetry Passion


I think this persian verse by Rumi sums up my life quite precisely......... Here goes:

Karsaz e ma bafikre kar e ma
Fikre ma dar kar e ma azaare ma

Translates as:

My Creater is busy in taking care of all my affairs... So my worrying about my matters is only an unnecessary pain....

And I look on…


The evening has fallen
The stars have brightened
The only path I walk on
Is lined with newly arrived how thorn
How peaceful they look today
Socking in the wind, so gay!
I don’t remember when I saw them last
I shall ask the gardener, if I must
The smell fills me with joy
What a sweet fragrance, oh boy!
The flowers pink and white
Remind me of strawberry delight.
These beauties I think should be left alone
And I must make my way home…

Remembrance

Cold in the earth -- and the deep snow piled above thee,
Far, far removed, cold in the dreary grave!
Have I forgot, my only Love, to love thee,
Severed at last by Time's all-severing wave?

Day 04 — Your Favorite Time of the Day


Late afternoons are my best time of the day. I'm usually on my own, savouring every bit of my long sought solitude. Keeping things low-key, I often indulge in a novel, play some soft rock/country music. This habitually invokes nostalgia and some poetic juices too. ;)

I got a little surprise for Mum today. I brought home my college magazine and guess what, four of my poems got published in there! Poems that are now nearly 3 years old by the way. But still, Mum was delighted. And I guess I'll send some more recent stuff this year. =D

The leaves start their gossip,

As the wind passes them.

The mist is unsettled

as the feet swarm the area.

Figures in black,

with downcast eyes,

Keepers of a dark secret.

The stony silence.

The stifled sobs;

The tears mixing with the rain.

The dirt is leveled

and the mourners pay

their last respects

to the Boston sunset.

as hatred bubbled out
from a once dormant volcano.

The Road To Her Dreams

The night was dark
not a star in sight
but her hair reflected the sliver
The sliver of silver
that hung in the sky
while the wind caused the grass to quiver
Her gown was torn
her feet were bare
but in a steady gait she carried on
On towards the hills
and the lakes and the vale
where all her dreams were born
She hurried her step
then broke into a run
then stopped dead in her tracks
Skin hitting gravel
Pain shooting through
blood seeping out of the cracks
She moved on again
egged on by her dreams
and happiness farther in sight
She smiled to herself
as she neared her goal
on that dark and starless night
